Build a weekly schedule from last year's traffic

The problem

Schedules get copied from last week, so you are short on busy days and overstaffed on slow ones.

Steps

1. Pull sales or visits by hour for the same week last year
2. Mark the top three busiest blocks of each day
3. Set a minimum crew for open, peak, and close
4. Place your strongest people on the peak blocks first
5. Fill remaining hours with part-timers and trainees
6. Compare scheduled hours to forecast sales before you post it
